Time Management Skills

Time management skills, stop and think where are you ?. You have to figure out where you are and what you want to do. Then you can find out how to improve what and when to do things.

So deciding that your resource allocation talents are poor, and learning the best way to get better and where you wish to be is time spent well.

Only one feature of somebody with poor time allocation. Everyone's guilty of this at one time or another, but many of us are incessant with it.

Write down a list of tasks. When you have your list, prioritize the things from best to least significance, this is a good and easy way to manage your time.

It makes sure that the most vital items are being looked after first. There are occasions when we cannot finish each item on our list but at least we took care of the most significant issues first.

Learn to decline you can not do everything for everybody. For example you got a list of twenty things and only time for ten of them in a day then it's tough to accept extra activities from others. Decide how much time you need for each task on the list, and try to stick to it. Good time management skills is when you do one task faster than expected then you have a little more time to the other tasks.

Naturally there are trade offs a more crucial task could come along and you exchange it for another task you were intending to do that day.

This gets into another conversation on life concerns like chums, family, career, remember balance is also vital. Don't book each moment of your day Now while we've preached lists, daily organization, and learning to decline you must leave some room for suppleness.

Booking up each moment of your day so that you are on a minute-by-minute schedule could be a major issue if a mini crisis happens in the day that was not accounted for.

Use other tools to time management. Using day planners, PC or PDA's to keep an eye on appointments and to do lists will save time and promote organization on all levels. Also keeping good contact info whether or not it's in a contact database on your personal computer or in an address notebook will save time when you want to contact business partners and friends. Try to think on these easy tasks everyday and you can control your time management much better.

That is time management skills !.
